The spark that was to
flare
into the first Northwest Fellowship Of The Spirit was struck at Silver
Creek,
Colorado, in July 2000, during a talk between a certain future American
businessman and a future physician.
Several
years previous
the two
had been relieved of the drink obsession by a complete psychic change
stemming from a spiritual awakening. The two having a paramount
experience
while attending the Fellowship Of The Spirit Conference in Silver
Creek, Colorado,
agreed that the spirit of this conference must be carried back to their
home town area in the Northwest.
A short time later in
the home
of these two alcoholics a discussion ensued between them and a man we
shall call Biff, alcoholic number three. From these casual
conversations, small
gatherings were held and a community took shape around the vision of
carrying the basic message of Alcoholics Anonymous to
families and individuals affected by the disease of alcoholism.
